Remembering Tom from many years ago, the Burger King years. Rest in peace, my friend.

Tom and I never really met, however we did have a battle way back in 1973. Tom was the starting defensive tackle for Rutgers when they traveled to Bethlehem, PA on September 22, 1973. I was the starting left guard for Lehigh University that day. Tom kicked my butt during the first half of that game. My offensive line coach called me out by name at half time in the locker room at Taylor Stadium. The language was less than complimentary to put it mildly and without offending Tom's children or...

Just heard about Tom from our Rutgers football buddies - sad to hear about Tom's passing....sincerest condolences to all of the family, Tom was one heckuva football player and a tough, tough competitor....he will be missed!

I visited Tom down in Delaware, a few years ago. Rutgers Football had given me several items to bring to him. He was very emotional and it made his day!
