My thoughts and prayers go out to Tom's family and friends....I took many Cal Society classes for CPE, and I always tried to make sure to take ones that Tom was teaching, as he was thorough, very knowledgeable and a gifted lecturer. This past January I attended 2 of his classes in Anaheim, and he could barely talk, but he kept at it and didn't let anyone down. He was truly a gentleman and he will be missed.

My deepest regrets at Tom's passing, and heartfelt sympathy for his extended family.
Tom has been a part of our professional life for many years. His books, continuing education material and classes form a significant part of many CPAs professional tax training.
We anguished when he took ill, rejoyced when he was able to rejoin us last fall, and mourn his passing.
He will never be forgotten.
May the Lord bless him and all his friends and...

My condolences to the Family and other friends of Thomas. Over the course of attending his classes for many years, I found him to be unfailingly upbeat and full of humor, notwithstanding a hectic schedule and burdensome travel agenda.
Scholarly and accomplished, Tom was never pedantic, but taught and presented his materials with a kind of self-depreciating humor that belied his mastery of his many subject areas. His energetic and humorous approach enlivened many otherwise dry...

I met Thomas Manolakas through the many courses he taught for the California CPA Foundation. I always enjoyed his presentations. Tom will be missed by many of his fellow CPAs & attorneys. The professions have lost a great instructor and society has lost a great individual. I will remember Tom & his family in my prayers.

I knew Tom from attending many of his tax seminars in Northern California. He always had a great sense of humor, which helped us get through some of the drier material.
When I returned each year for an update seminar, he and I would tease each other good naturedly.
My adult son attended one class with me and was on crutches after leg surgery. Tom took extra time to ask the details, and show some empathy--he also enjoyed the father-son combo.
We'll miss...
