I knew Tom when we both served in garrison company at Fort Shafter, Hawaii '62 to '63. We were both in signal....he in telephone repair and me a photographer. If i recall, he worked for the telephone company as a civilian. Good guy, friendly and easy going. My term of service was up in September of '63 and that was the last time I ever saw him.

My dear friend Tom. I met Tom at white city beach 63 years ago when I was about 16 years old. Thank you for your very brave service to our country ! God bless you

I knew Tom as "Martin the carpet guy". We'd have breakfast or lunch after he measured up a building project I was doing. Fanny's on 152nd or Gus's on 185th Good guy, funny and honest. Was in good shape from hitting the heavy bag in his basement and looked younger than he was. The deep voice with that infectious giggle is what I'll miss. Rest in peace " Martin" , I'm glad to have done business with you and had a few laughs along the way.
