Thomas Marshall
Bradford, NH - Thomas "Tom" Marshall passed away on November 11th, 2025 at the age of 80. He was surrounded by his loved ones.
Tom was born on November 3rd, 1945 in Concord, NH to Edward and Eunice Marshall. He grew up in Weare and Manchester, NH, and spent all of his summers at his beloved Lake Massasecum. He married Judy Burnett, his childhood friend, in 1970, and they recently celebrated fifty-five loving years of marriage. Judy remembers Tom as the very best husband; gentle, supportive, kind, and helpful beyond imagination.
Tom served in the Air Force from 1965 until 1971 as a Sergeant and Morse Code Interpreter stationed mostly in England. He graduated from Franklin Pierce College in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree. After moving to Bradford, Tom began working for Public Service of NH as a Substation Electrician and worked his way up to System Operations Supervisor at the Electrical System Control Center in Manchester, NH over his 32 year career there.
Tom and Judy had two children, Rich and Amy, who remember their dad as the most kind, loving, proud, and patient father, who was present and engaged in all aspects of their lives. Tom emanated pure joy, and brought laughter to every situation. He always made people smile and feel welcomed. Tom enjoyed car racing, driving and fixing cars, playing cribbage, snowmobiling, and he was always helping others. His true passion, starting from his childhood days, was spending time at his camp on Lake Massasecum alongside his family and friends. Here, he met his future wife, Judy, at the young age of five, and enjoyed a long and wonderful life, sharing his love of the lake with his children and grandchildren. Tom was an active and dedicated member of the Lake Massasecum Improvement Association, Bradford Community Church, and was a Supervisor of the Checklist for the town of Bradford.
Tom is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Eunice Marshall; and his sister, Cynthia Marshall. He lives on through his wife, Judy; his son, Rich Marshall; daughter, Amy Cook; daughter-in-law, Laura Marshall; son-in-law, Jon Cook; four proud grandchildren, Jake Marshall, Maddie Cook, Jenna Cook, and Anna Cook as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are scheduled for Sunday, November 16th from 2pm-4pm at Chadwick Funeral Home in New London, NH. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Tuesday, November 18th at 10am at the Bradford Community Church with a military burial to follow at Pond Cemetery. There will be a reception to follow at the Appleseed Restaurant. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tom's life.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Lake Massasecum Improvement Association, the Bradford Community Church, or the American Legion, Department of NH, 21 (S. Fruit St, Suite 266, Concord, NH 03301). To sign an online guestbook, please visit www.chadwickfuneralservice.com

Tom was such a nice nan and good friend. We had many laughs playing cribbage with Tom and Judy. He was always up for a game. We enjoyed breakfasts, dinners, and home cooked meals together as well as rides in our corvettes and attending plays and concerts. He always made us feel right at home. We will miss Tom very much.
