Not sure what to say?

Mohammad Yasir Ilyas - MS Information Management (Class of 2004)

Dear Mrs. Martin,

Sorry to hear about your loss. Your husband was one of the most amazing teacher and person I ever had in my life. His teaching and his personality had such an influence on my life that I still quote him every now and then ... I proudly relate to him and it feels great to be among those who had a chance to be his student .... It is teachers like him who make Syracuse University the best school in the US. Will miss him immensely.

Regards,

Mohammad Yasir...

Dear Mrs. Martin and Chris,

The news of Professor Martin passing away filled my heart with sadness and grief. As former teacher, Professor Martin has had an indelible effect on my life and I will forever be grateful for that.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

With deepest sympathy,

Dear Ann and Family,

So sorry to hear of your loss; Tom was a great Professor and a great man. He was one of my first professors in IST in 1990; his love of the emerging IT field and passion for teaching was an inspiration. I also valued and enjoyed our out of class discussions on the state of our industry and the world. I wish you and your family godspeed in healing and peace.

Terry Wheeler, MS-IRM, 1992

My Deepest Sympathies!

Dear Mrs. Martin,

I wanted to take a moment and let you know your husband had a very positive impact on me while I was a young undergraduate. I always appreciated his thoughtful style of teaching.

Deepest sympathies for your loss.

Dear Mrs. Martin,
My truly sympathies for your loss. Professor Martin put a high standard not only on the graduate education in SU but on the inspiration given to every student in his/her efforts for success.

I wish all of your memories and his work legacy to be your drivers for your family's comfort.

My kind regards

Dear Mrs. Martin and Chris,

Please accept my sincere sympathies for your loss. Prof Martine was one of my first professors in SU and in America too in 1992. I still remember how patient he was with me, a foreign student who was still in culture shock, and how his class inspired my great interest in the science of information and technology. I am sure Prof Martin touched the lives of many students he taught, and will be dearly missed.

Sent with love and remembrance.

I am so sorry to hear about Tom's passing. I was an adult with a challenging job and a family to support in 1986 and halfway through my MS-IRM when Professor Martin and I began to talk seriously about how I could manage these multiple roles. He was a superior adviser to me in times of very high stress. To me he seemed a quiet, thoughtful man who offered empathy, eminently practical advice and encouragement. I'm not sure I could have succeeded without him. My sincerest condolences. He was a...

Mrs.Martin and Chris,
I was Professor Martin's student in Syracuse University in 1997. I still remember that his class was so demanding but made me learnt quickly in Intro to IRM. He's so professional and also my ideal for a great professor. I am still using concepts he thought in class to understand new technology. I'm grateful to be one of his students.
My thought and prayers are with you,
