Not sure what to say?

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Matans at this time of sorrow. The Matans and Dwyers go back well before the World War Two and provided fond memories that will be held forever. God Bless.

To all the members of the Matan Family:
We feel priviledged to have had the honor of sharing a friendship with a trully great and gentle man. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you, and we will miss Tom so very much....love, Dick and Jeanie

Lew and I send our deepest sympathy to the Matan Family. We both knew Tom for over 60 years and he was one of the kindest, sincere gentle man that we ever have known. We will miss you, Tommy.

Remembering the good times at the Matan's with a wonderful family. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Mary Barmes

A memory:
In 1985 I was 17 years old and had just moved to Washington D.C. "Uncle Tom" caught me ( and others who shall remain nameless) at the Tombs in Georgetown, drinking beer. Phew!!!

It is with deepest condolences and great love for the Matan family that my wife Susan, my son...

It is with profound sadness that I sign this guestbook on this Christmas afternoon. Without a shadow of a doubt, our family has lost one of its great members this week. What a wonderful person Tom was. I am surely not alone when I say that he was one of my favorites. No one ever had a negative word to say about Tom. What a supportive, dedicated, caring, and faith-filled husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin he was. Like many of us this holiday, Leslie and I are out of town...

We will always remember Uncle Tom's excitement on the sidelines of the Gonzaga football games in high school. His love of the game and the people who played it is something we hope to pass down to our children. He will be greatly missed. Love, Mollie and Mike

I always think of Tom on December 21st, as we share our birthdays on that day. I was so sadded then to hear that Tom had died two days later, only to remember that December 23rd was my father-in-laws birthday, Philip Caulfield, who was, as well, Tom's Uncle . Somehow that made me feel better that he would be there to greet Tom. Philip Caulfield was the leader and strength of his family as Tom was to his. He leaves many relatives and friends who love him, and will miss him but will always...
