Not sure what to say?

It is so difficult to believe that Tom is no longer with us. He was a true friend to us, a great husband to Mayra, a great father and grandfather. We always enjoyed talking and visiting with him and his Panama Chica. We miss him very much.

Thank you so much for including me in the obit of Tommy Matson. He lived next door to me and we played together until ??? high school or jr. high school ?. I am sad to hear of his passing, but also glad that Michael Fry is still letting us know what is going on. He grew up with us too. And Gary Becker, Letty, Beverly, Susan Hawley, Linda G., Joann Archibald, Annette Maestro,Barbara H and Frances Hill.. This is part of our neighborhood...I miss them all.

I knew Tom from San Diego State University while we were in the Air Force ROTC program. We had a reunion of our AF buddies 20+ yrs ago and also re-aquainted at the SDHS 50th reunion. Although I did not know his family, Tom and I did much together in those years in school. May God bless his family and I offer them my sincere sympathies. Ed Heim, Capt TWA retired.

I worked with Tom at the San Diego Electric Railway for many years, and he was a man of many talents, and always there to assist wherever needed. He will be missed.

My Heart-felt Prayers and Thoughts are with you and all your family at this time of Tom's Passing. As you all know, he was a very special man, and High School Classmate!
Sincerely, Barbie Witherow Summers

Tom will be greatly missed by his San Diego High School Class of 1957 classmates. Some of us grew up on the same block with him. Our memories go back to his earliest San Diego days. Tom was a good and faithful friend to everyone. I especially appreciated his willingness to contribute his photographic talents to all of our class activities. Old friends are certainly gold and never forgotten.

So sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Tom at TRA, and later at Ryan Retirees. Tom was a railroad buff, and avid photographer (shot our wedding).
A very kind and gentle friend is truly missed.

I appreciated your patience and kindness over the years. You and Mayra were so helpful. I am very proud to have had you as my brother. My love always, Marilyn

I worked for Tom at I.C.S & always admired his composure & professionalism.
