I remember Tommy mostly from Eastern Junior High School, although we lived near each other in Havemeyer Park. He was a character even then, an irrepressible cutup, friendly to all. I was always impressed by his starched dress shirts--fresh daily, cuffs carefully rolled back.

I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was a very good friend of my late husband, Bruce Drenckhahn. Tom was my husband's Best Man at our wedding in 1975!
Bruce passed away in 1995 and Tom was a great friend and invaluable help to me when Bruce died.
I lost contact with Tom over the years and I was so sad to see that he was so sick. i'm sorry I didn't get to visit him. I have fond memories of Tom and Bruce working on race cars in my garage while I was trying to get a newborn to...

My heart goes out to the entire Maxson family. I have so many wonderful memories of Tommy -- growing up in Havemeyer Park and whenever I would run into him when both of us were back in Greenwich. He always made me smile!

I sold Tommy my Corvair Spyder; he made the last payment to me at my bachelor party at the Stumble Inn 50 years ago last Friday. Great Guy.
