Not sure what to say?

This is a truly wonderful Tribute of someone who was one of my favorite Burn Nurses I had during my over 2 month adventure in the OBC at Emanuel hospital in 1989. He was kind and smart and encouraging - every quality a patient would want in a Burn Nurse. As an essential member of my Burn Team, I am certain that he would have been proud of me as I too learned to "give back" and become a trained Burn Injury Peer Supporter. I recall my first visit to the newly relocated Burn ICU, when I was...

Sad to hear of the loss of this great guy, whom I knew as a college classmate and fellow cast member. How fitting that he was following his bliss right to the end.

We remember Tom as one of the soccer Dads, strong and quiet but with loyal presence as Alice's team the Spunks played week after week...touching details of a life well-lived. Our hearts go out to all his family- Linda, Geoffrey Hiller, Sonia and Eve

This is a beautifully written remembrance. Holding your whole family in the Light. I have hiked many of the Columbia Gorge trails myself and I hope it helps to know that Tom's last moments of this life were spent among great beauty.

Tom was one of the nicest persons I ever worked with----truly a gentleman, as well as a good nurse. He was appreciated.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

What a beautiful tribute the obituary is to Tom, who I knew best as my brother's best friend nearly 60 years ago. He was kind, funny, often smiling and up for adventure for his entire life, apparently. The boy became a remarkable man.

My thoughts, love and prayers are with Tom's wonderful family as they deal with the profound loss of their beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend.
