Not sure what to say?

Tom was a wonderful educator. I know that his love for chemistry and teaching has been passed on to so many of his student. My most sincere condolences are extended to his family.

Jill Marie

Dear Jan and Family:

Just saw the two of you in the Farmer's Market about a month ago, and as usual, I thought to myself that you were one of the sweetest, most enduring couples. I was so surprised and sad to hear of Tom's untimely passing. Much, much sympathy and many hugs.

Love,
Jill Marie

Professor McCarrick was my instructor for chemistry lab when I was an undergraduate at Cornell. He was so kind, considerate, and cared about our learning. His door was always open, and was always there if you had questions or just wanted to chat. His love for Chemistry was contagious and he made me love it even more. He will be missed as a mentor and a friend.

My deepest sympathies to Tom's family....Jan, Gretchen, Kevin and grand girls. I knew him best in high school and he was the only student to have a slide rule with him at any given moment. And I was recently reminded how he would brag about blowing things up in the basement. I was thrilled to see Tom and Jan at the last reunion. And extremely saddened he will not be in attendance next year. Peace to you my old friend. And thanks for a memorable Junior Prom.

Heartfelt thoughts to you Jan, Gretchen, Kevin and precious granddaughters.

Jan, I was saddened by Tom's( Mike's) passing. We were childhood neighbors and playmates. I saw you at the last SHS class reunion. God Bless you and your family. JoAnn (Herrick) Sansone, Buffalo, NY

Jan, I am so sad and surprised as I saw the two of you happily walking as usual at the Farmer's Market just a few weeks ago. What a beautiful marriage you had. Such lovely people!

To my friend and skiing buddy, Jan: I am so sorry to learn of Tom's passing. He was here such a short time. Reading the accolades of Tom's life makes me feel as though I should have known him better. My love and prayers go out to you and your children.
