I'm so sorry our family lost touch with Tom after the Walshes passed away. He was an invaluable family friend and helper. Stories about him would fill pages. He made the Walshes' twilight years as bearable as possible. He brought so much laughter to their day, the only one who could make my uncle Johnny (NYPD ret.) laugh. He was a great guy, a great friend, a mighty good man. Watching Steve Buscemi's documentary about FDNY made me look him up. I remember how hard all the 9/11 funerals were on...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time. We had the pleasure of meeting Tommy while we were in New York and we will cherish that memory
