Of all the things Skip was to me, a coach, a friend, a counselor, a mentor...the role that made the biggest impact on my life was the one of father figure. He taught me so much about both baseball and life, and that made all the difference in the man I am today. He was always quick to share a bit of wisdom, humor and a smile every time I saw him.
