Rest In Peace Fr. McGovern. You trained me to be a server back at St. Mel. One of the Best ministries I have ever been involved with.

Once I asked him to offer up a Mass for the souls of the four whom I remembered who died in the Vietnam War, including his nephew Timothy Kranshan. He wrote back that he was offering up one Mass for each of them.
In his retirement he would sometimes fill in at St. Bernard. Once he offered up the noon Mass there on the feast of St. Thomas the Apostle. He said we remember the doubting Thomas but should also remember the Thomas who said, "Let...

Rest In Peace, Fr. McGovern, after an active and full life spent serving and inspiring others and well-lived! I have fond memories of your Masses and homilies at Our Lady if Victory. I always enjoyed your time with us. We have lost an incredible disciple!

Fr. Thomas McGovern was an Honorary Life member of the Knights of Columbus. He would often stop by Council 4664 on Fridays and enjoy a fish dinner. He will be missed by his Brother Knights and remebered in their prayers. May he rest in peace.

Fr. McGovern was such a dear soul. I will miss him saying mass. Eternal rest.
