Uncle Tom had a smile as big as he was, and a good firm hug. He had a way of letting you know, you were special to him. We all have our good memories of Uncle Tom.

Big Tom, you immediately made me feel like I was part of the family when I first got here from Alaska; I was home.

I remember going down to North Carolina when I was about 8 years old and visited all of my father's relatives. Great Uncle Tom, my grandfather's brother drove my sister and I around his house on a four wheeler and I remember how much fun the both of us had that day. In July of this year he came up to visit us and went fishing with my grandfather. I miss him dearly, and I know he is in a better place.
