I came to know Fr. Tom from being close friends with one of his ordination classmates, Fr. Charlie Skach.
As time passed, the three of us would be going out to dinner often, which was always a pleasant event.
I learned a lot about their experiences and history at Quigley and St Mary's. I could never deal with all
they were required to endure to achieve being ordained. These men are MEN, true heros.

Tom was quite a classic movie aficionado, with his favorite actor...

We lived one block from St. Agnes in Chicago Heights in the mid-1960's. While I didn't go to St. Agnes school, I knew of Father McKierran from seeing him throw the football and shoot baskets on the playground with the students.
Then at Marian High School , I became friends with Paul Marshall, both of us were advid hockey fans. He told me that he played roller hockey , since at that time there were no indoor ice rinks in our area (1965). Paul said that the priest from St. Agnes rented...

I was sad to hear of Father Tom's passing. I am also a graduate of the St. Odilo class of '81. I have many great memories of his visits to the Molloy house. He was always so kind to our family. He taught me how to play golf, raquetball, and most importantly, taught me to have faith in God. You'll be missed by many...
