Not sure what to say?

Mr. McLaughlin hired me at Western Electric in June 1963. I transferred to Atlanta (temporarily) in 1969 and then (permanently) in 1976. I moved to Louisville KY with BellSouth Cellular in 1987. All these years I´ve often thought of him. He was very special and helpful to me. I thought of him today and googled his name in Savannah and found this. It sounds just like him. Today is March 21st 2022. Twelve years ago today. I´m very sorry for your loss. He will be missed.

Mr. McLaughlin was well known at St. James Parish for the many kindnesses he showed to others. His involvement in many church and city activities was admired by many. We became friends with Tom and Kit back in the early 80's. Their children were mostly grown and ours were very young. We were in awe of Kit and Tom and occassionally asked for parenting advice. What they said was always simple, down to earth and most of all helpful. Now, in 2010, our children are grown and we have befriended several young couples who struggle in raising their little ones. We use Tom and Kit as our role models! Their legacy lives on!
Please accept our condolences. ...

We offer our deepest sympathy to the McLaughlin family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Sincerest condolences from Tom Moran and The Moran Asset Management Group.

Even though I had not seen him for many years, I have fond memories of Mr. McLaughlin from my younger days. One of them is from 1977 or so, when he was visiting my father at our house, and a comment he made got me out of a little hot water. It was about a week before I was to return to UGA for my junior year, and not only had I not begun to pack for Athens, but I had also not yet figured out what apartment complex I was going to live in. My father was bemoaning this fact to Mr. McLaughlin...

To the family of Tom;
I had the pleasure of working for Tom back in the 60's, during my days with Western Electric and also several years ago while helping with Habitat here in Savannah. He was a hard worker and inspired people working with and for him. He will be sadly missed. I hope your family will find peace with Tom's passing.
