Carman Funeral Home - Brown City Obituary

Thomas Richard McVicker age 61 of Brown City and formerly of Hazel Park died January 18, 2019.  He was born in Royal Oak to John and Dorothy McVicker.  He graduated from Hazel Park High School Class of 1977.  Thomas married Linda Brazeel on November 18, 1978.


Thomas was a maintenance and machine repairman for Walker and Steel of Ferndale and also MMP of Utica for many years.  Tom had also worked at Costco in Madison Heights for several years.  He loved to go deer hunting, play softball and the sport of bowling.  He also was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved to go for a ride.


Thomas is survived by his wife of 40 years Linda McVicker, a son Jeremy Thomas McVicker and his wife Genifer and grandchildren; Kaleb Austen McVicker,  John Dillan Thomas McVicker, Emily June McVicker and Chloe Paige McVicker, his mother Dorothy McVicker, a sister Debby (Marty) Closey and sister in law Vicki McVicker Davis and five nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his father John and a brother John.


A visitation and viewing will be held Saturday February 2, 2019 from 12:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City.


Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday February 3, 2019 at Carman Funeral Home in Brown City.

I will not be able to attend your funeral Tom, but I will be honoring and saying good bye to you in my own way, you were a wonderful man/husband/father/grandfather, you will be truly missed. Dear Linda and family, we were very sorry to hear about the passing of Tom. I played softball with him through Walker wire. I also worked with him at mnp Corporation. He was a great man. May God bless your whole family at this sad time.

May God bless and comfort you in this great loss. Our last memory was Tom & You (Linda) helping us with Margaret in her time of need. As always Tom gave 100% in helping out. We all will surely miss Him.
