Not sure what to say?

Tommie was always smiling, always cracking jokes and always seemed to be with Connie. I truly enjoyed my time with Tommie and Connie as they were great story tellers and loved the game of hockey. RIP Tommie!!

To the McVie Family ; My sincerest condolences on the passing of one of the finest gentleman this earth has ever seen . Quick with a joke , a smile , some wisdom . None of us ever left a conversation with Tom without learning something . Tom grew up in my neighbourhood in East Vancouver with the rink rats ,well before my time . However , we encountered each other as I am the stick boy for the visiting teams to this day in Vancouver . Tom was generous to a fault with his time , his wisdom ,...

Our family knew Tommy and the McVie clan through my father Marc...it started for me at age 5 in Seattle in the 60s when they played together on the Totems, and it continued on in Fort Wayne IN with the Komets in the early 70s. Both of their careers crossed paths for years - later when they were coaching against each other (Penguins and the Capitals)...and their friendship lasted a lifetime. Great man...you will be missed. Say hello to my pops when you see him. Luc

Of course we discussed hockey and he told me about his beloved wife. Before we left Tom brought me into his room filled with hockey memrobeial and he gave me a signed Bruins hat and other treasured keepsakes. The next day John asked what I would like to do and I said let's invite Tom for dinner. So that's what we did, he...

Knew Tommy a little bit during his time in Utica. What a great character, so engaging. It was a pleasure to know him even just a little bit.

One of my son's played hockey with Tommy's son Denver. Tommy was an endless source of wit and wisdom; always a joy to be around. My sympathy goes out to his family.
