Not sure what to say?

Tom and I served together in Vietnam. I was his supervisor on the night shift in the tactical operations center of the 52nd Artillery Group. We used to play a lot of scrabble during downtime and I'm not sure if I ever beat him. He was a wonderful human being and I'm sorry we didn't get to renew our acquaintance.

I roomed with "Big Train" at Shady Side Academy. He was a great guy and played baseball and football.

I´m thinking about Big Train today because he was my roommate at Shady Side Academy during our senior year (1962-63). Tom lived well, loved big and always had a sunny...

I asked you about him often....and from listening to you, I learned he was a smart, funny, kind and so much more. I am sending my condolences to you and your family. May his memory be a bright spot in your hearts and bring a smile to your faces when you think and talk of him. You were all blessed to have Tom in your life's. ...

Condolences to the family of Tom Mennell from Don Villella, SGM(R) and Vietnam Veterans of Americal Chapter 862.
