Not sure what to say?

Mindy, Brian, Alex Such a nice tribute to a life well lived. Im so sorry for your loss. Prayers now and in coming days.

Donations in Tom´s memory to the Friends of Misery Bay in Ontario, Canada would be appreciated.

During the years that the Moores and Porters were neighbors on Owendale in Ypsilanti, Tom and my Dad regularly spent Christmas Christmas Eve assembling doll houses and other toys along with some holiday cheer. Needless to say these tasks were not always completed in a "timely fashion. Wonderful neighbors and friends,a source of special memories.

I was lucky to have the Moore's as next door neighbors during my early years and Debby and Mindy were my first playmates. I remember going to the museum with him and learning all about cicadas. They were such good friends and neighbors and like a second family to us. Lots of great memories!

We feel lucky to have known such a genuinely good man. Tom had a wonderful sense of humor that could light up a room, and a kindness and intelligence that never needed to be announced. Though he was accomplished in his field, he carried his success with true humility. Most of all, he was devoted to Ellie and their family, which says everything about the kind of person he was. Our heartfelt condolences to all of you.

I am truly blessed to have been Tom's friend. He was a kind and generous man. And I am so grateful that our paths crossed. We stayed in touch for many years, exchanging news and opinions. He was always an advocate for peace among nations and for scientific and cultural exchange among peoples. I will always remember him with the deepest affection and cherish the memory of those days. May he rest in heavenly peace!
