Thomas Joseph Mulhollan, M.D., 55, of Denton TX passed away in his home on Thursday, July 2, 2015, following a sixteen month battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme. Dr. Mulhollan was born April 19, 1960, in Corpus Christi, TX to Thurman Lee Mulhollan, and Mary Catherine (Messina) Mulhollan.
A Summa Cum Laude graduate from UT Austin with a B.S. in Chemistry, Dr. Mulhollan attended Medical School at UT Health Science Center, an Anatomic/Clinical Pathology Residency through UT Southwestern, Dallas and a Cytopathology Fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. As a private practitioner, he was an associate of Affiliated Pathologists, PA, Denton for a career that spanned over 20 years.
His affection and affinity for all living things was evidenced not only in his choice of profession but in his expert propagation of Orchids and his long list of beloved pets, which included an array of cats, dogs and horses. He was a life-long learner, striving for excellence in every hobby or interest he enjoyed, from photography to riding Dressage.
He is survived by his mother of Texarkana, TX; sister Jennifer Ann Mulhollan, M.D. of Oklahoma City, OK and her husband Robert Mastin Ridout, M.D. of Texarkana, TX; sister Teresa Lee Mulhollan of Austin, TX; brother Gregory Anthony Mulhollan, PhD of Dripping Springs, TX; and niece Sarah Elise Ridout, London, England. He is preceded in death by his father.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of DeBerry Funeral Directors in Denton, Texas.
The family of Dr. Mulhollan wishes to express gratitude to Ellen Malone, who provided diligent, thoughtful care to Dr. Mulhollan through the final year of his life. Donations in his honor are asked to be sent to the American Brain Tumor Association.
Still miss you my friend. I hope God had a special horse waiting for you when you arrived in heaven!!

I met Tom when he interviewed me for. Pathologist job in 2007. It stuck with me what a genuinely nice person he was not just by my judgement but by the way everyone in the hospital reacted to him when they saw him , from the CEO to the janitor , they all thought he was great. I didnt take the job but here I am , years later looking him up on the internet because he made such an impression on me. Rest In Peace Tom.

I have fond childhood memories of Tom , we shared the same homeroom class in first grade at Tuloso Midway Elementary, and our teacher's name was Mrs. Heart. I could never forget the year of Sept. 1967, our families road out the storm of Hurricane Beulah that year at the Tuloso Midway High School. And to take our mind off the raging storm outside. Tom and I had chased each other through the auditorium that frighting day. I lived at 2905 Rhodes Dr. and Tom often came over to my house to play...

I remember Tom and his entire family...from the many years that both of our father's were the closest of friends. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing, but so glad that he has been released from the pain of his physical ailments. Praying for God's cont'd Blessings to each of his loved ones.
