Not sure what to say?

Dear Livi Tommy Sammie and Auburne Dee Tom and Marlene and extended family I so sorry we can´t be with you today but we will be with you from Okato As I sit here and write this so many memories come flooding back from your time in Okato Tom was so loved in our district As a nurse working with him in the beginning when you all came here I remember when he told me he was going to set up a Emergency Department in New Plymouth determination made it happen!! I didn't know Tom, but knew of him, through his Mum, Marlene. It's been a long time Marlene, since Upper Hutt Health Centre days, but I've never forgotten you or the pride and affection with which you spoke of your "kids". Please accept my deepest sympathy and sadness at the loss of an adored and hugely respected son, Dr, family member and friend. I'll be thinking of you as you negotiate your way through this heartbreaking reality. Love and warm thoughts, Philippa Edlin

Tom so sad to hear of your passing been a while since I’ve seen you wish we caught up more

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Dr Tom, your direct friendly support, advice, help and intervention on health & personal issues 30 + years ago whilst in New Plymouth will forever stand strong with me & many others. Thankyou mate. RIP.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. He was a man on a mission, and followed through with his actions to get the health message out to those who made it less of a priority.

To Melissa and family. So sorry to hear of your huge loss. I remember how much you loved your big bro. With love Mary Newton Ex- IBMC
