Clymer Funeral Home Cremations - Palm Coast Obituary

On Thursday, November 19, 2020, Thomas "Tom" Mulligan, loving husband, father of three children, and Papa passed away peacefully at the age of 62 surrounded by his family after a brief illness.

Tom was born on November 5, 1958 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to the late Thomas and Catherine (Henighan) Mulligan.

Tom is survived by his wife of 33 years, Leslie Mulligan (Sovesky), whom he married on August 8th, 1987; children, Breanna (Andrew) Calkins of DeLand, Florida, Lauren Mulligan of Palm Coast, Florida, Dylan Mulligan (fiancé Kendall Garcia) of Palm Coast, Florida; granddaughter, Brooklyn, of DeLand, Florida.  In addition, Tom is survived by his siblings; Michelle (Michael) Sakony, Julie Farmartino, Kathy Smith, Tim (Nancy) Mulligan, Terry (Ann) Mulligan, and Shawn (Vicky) Mulligan; and many nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws (Victoria and William Sovesky), and sister, Patricia Mulligan.

Tom graduated from Kennedy Catholic High School in 1977 where he was a proud Eagle football player and attended Montana State College on a football scholarship. He was a member of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, a previous parishioner at Saint Stanislaus Kostka where he was a Eucharistic Minister and Saint Joseph's Catholic Church. Tom was a past member of Sharon Knights of Columbus, integral member of the Sharon Knights of Columbus Golf League, a member of the Palm Coast Knights of Columbus, and the Head and Neck Cancer Survivor support group. Tom enjoyed his time coaching Hermitage Little League. He was currently employed by Icon and enjoyed his previous work in the mortgage and construction business. Tom enjoyed spending his time golfing at various golf courses in Pennsylvania and Florida, debating politics (Go Trump!), and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter Brooklyn. Tom's friends and family will forever cherish the memories they shared with him. He will be truly missed.

Service will be held in Oakdale Cemetery, DeLand, Florida with Father Richard Pagano officiating.

Interment: Oakdale Cemetery, DeLand, Florida.

The family of Mr. Mulligan entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
