Not sure what to say?

Uncle Tom (aka: Uncle Mike,) Thomas Murphy lives within all of us that were blessed to have had him in our lives. He was a Patriot of a man that always put his family first as he lived a life of commemorative service to his hometown of Stoneham and community alike. I´ll always maintain an admiration for his allegiance to being the anchor and Captain of the family ship He was always present not just literally for his family but mindfully. His awareness and sharp wit always kept everything in...

"Gone but not forgotten"

To the Murphy family, I just learned of Mr. Murphy's passing. He served his Country, Loved his God, and was loved by his family. He also served his community. May He continue Rest in Peace.

I was saddened to hear today about Thomas' passing. I know he left many happy memories and traditions that will sustain his family in the days ahead. My best. - Betty Cunningham, Andover, MA

Loving sympathy to my sister, Mary (Hynes) Murphy, and all in family, with her now, in loving memory,
of Mary's husband, their children's father, grand and great grandfather Thomas/ Mike Murphy.
Over their long blessed life, I felt fortunate to share in their flourishing family life.
The photo selection of my brother-in law with softening smile, shows a readiness for humor, fun, his playfulness with generations of children, growing up close to him.
All those joyous adventures...

So, I was asked about a memory and I did so...something silly and funny...what I should have said is that Tom is responsible for installation of the flag pole, and subsequent flag, in Buckley Park, Stoneham Square!

Uncle Tom, Uncle Mike to me was the Oak Tree of 62 Oak Street. No matter what the storm, rest assured, he would weather it. Life it seemed was his destiny. He had a good life, much to be proud of. Beautiful wife, children & too many family & friends to name ( you all know who you are!) Uncle Tom was the Captain of the ship, the anchor of the family or to anyone whom might be so welcomed to hop aboard his domain. I'll miss him. His presence left a big shoe print that could never be filled....
