Thomas Nagle

This is very sad to me. What a wonderful man. I spoke to him in 2016, for the first time in many years. He did not even mention his health condition. He left an indelible mark on my heart and on my life.

Phyllis and family, I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing..although we did not have a lot of contact in recent years, Tom heard about our losing our home in one of the California fires and did communicate with me..We did have some good adventures during some of our college years ..Tom used to come out to California before school started and we would meet at the "top of the Mark" ...He was a distant but dear friend..He will be missed by many..and will be in my thoughts ...My very best Regards...

I cannot remember a single day when Tom entered the office without a smile even when he was embroiled in one of the many difficult cases he handled. His pleasant and calm demeanor contributed to his success as a litigator, counselor, and mediator, but it also made him one of those really special people who everyone in the office wanted to be around because he was such a really good person. Tom Nagle offered to be a sponsor of mine to the lawyers' society American Board of Trial Advocates. Thanks to him, I became a member; one of the great honors of my professional life. I also knew Tom through another lawyers' group, The American Inns of Court. Although a man of tremendous experience and accomplishment, he was interested in and respectful of the newest attorney. Always ready with a smile or a laugh, he was a consummate gentleman, respected and liked by peers and Judges...

On February 14, 1989 Tom and I were trying a high exposure case together in Livermore, borrowing a single desk in the local city attorney's office as our war room. First of all, Tom had dropped a valentine on my side of the desk that morning--such a sweet and friendly gesture. So like him. Second of all, the night before I had found an abandoned puppy in my neighbor's car which I had agreed to take until I could get him to the Humane Society. This was a mistake as the puppy cried all...

I can still remember playing hockey on the Rahway River in Cranford back in 1950's with Tom, Salty, Bill Rosencrantz,Rob Lawrence and many others. He was always a nice guy !!
