Not sure what to say?

I remember Tom during his 2 year stint (1969-1970) with the Edmonton Eskimos. He was an excellent wide receiver & was once quoted as saying "If I can touch the football, I will catch it." So sorry to hear of his passing. Reading his obituary, it's clear that he accomplished whatever he sought in his life.

Tom and I spent a lot of time together in South Mission Beach. He was a good friend. I moved east but on one of my visits back, I spent some time catching up with him. Will always think of him fondly

Tom was the talented and rather impish younger brother of my McKinnley and St. Patricks School Classmate his older brother John. Tom played on the 1957 St. Patrick's Catholic School flag football team championship team played in Balboa Stadium. I was one of the cheerleaders only because I had a loud voice. I did enjoy following Tom's success. To me he will always be that kid with a twinkle in is eye.

I remember Tom well. I went to St. Patrick's School with him. He was a grade behind me and his brother John was in my class. Tom was one of those "active" boys that drove our dear nuns crazy. Tom always had an impish look in his eye like he was about to do something that maybe he shouldn't. In the fall of 1957 he played (flag) on the SPS (flag) football team that won the Catholic School Championship. The game was played in Balboa Stadium. I was one of the school cheerleaders - only...

I knew Tom in the 70s-80s, sad to hear of his loss. What illness was he suffering from?

Tommy was one of my varsity football coaches when I was a senior at Patrict Henry high school in San Carlos in 1969. He was a great guy, and he really made a lasting impression on me. He was a fantastic athlete. My condolences to his family.

Tom and I were Sigma Chi fraternity brothers at SD State and had a political Science class together that I enjoyed listening to Tom debate our professor John Hobbes on various subjects. He was at the Rounder's Room bar at the Campus Chuck Wagon restaurant the night Bobby Kennedy was assassinated. He bolted across the room to watch the TV screen in abject horror! We met up a couple more times once at Mike Specht's house. I asked him how his golf game was going and he said," I gave up the...

Always had a "take" or 'scoop' on life-amazing athletic abilities who always called me "Magic" for my putting prowess in golf-- Lil Net- One of a kind will be surely missed!! Mike Riley
