Not sure what to say?

Playing for Coach at Eastern are some of the best memories I have of my college experience. What I miss the most about Coach are his jokes and humorous comments. He always put a smile on my face. Besides from his physical strength and tremendous knowledge of the game he coached and loved so much, he never took himself too seriously. He loved seeing his "old" players and reminiscing with us.
Thank you to Coach DeVito for carrying on the Nevers legacy thru scholarships awarded from the...

To the entire Nevers Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear that my former soccer coach at Eastern (1970-74) has passed. One can never repay a coach for all the experiences and life lessons learned during four years of college. I remember his son, Tom, hanging out with us older college guys...always kicking a ball. Later, he would become a high school All-American and Professional soccer player! My most vivid memory is having traveled with the team to St.Louis, MO in the fall of '73 to...

A great coach and person with a great wit. He will be missed.

Condolences to the family of "Coach" Tom Nevers, a kind and giving individual. Coach was a man who had the ability to motivate, inspire, and guide his students to a higher level of performance than we ever thought we were capable of achieving. His gifts sustained us beyond school into our future lives. For this, we are forever thankful to you, Mr. Tom Nevers. May you rest in peace.

Hale-Ray Student, Class of '54.

R.I.P. COACH WILL NEVER FORGET YOU.

To Sue & Art Blaise: Please accept our sympathy to you and your family. Tom's exceptional sports and academic achievements will not be forgotten.

I never had the opportunity to meet "OGO", but reading about him tells me he sounds like a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Nancy Walsh (aunt to Steve Gluth)

Mr. Tom Nevers will always be fondly and respectfully remembered by me for the hours he spent coaching our little league team with his son Tommy. If ever there was a coach/teacher that I would have hoped to emulate that role model was Mr. Nevers. What a man, coach, teacher and dad for the Nevers family. God Bless all the Nevers, my heartfelt prayers for grace and peace during this time. Jeff Vagell

Tom & Nevers family, sorry to hear of your loss! Great family man & leader! Sincerely, Curt Minert
