COL Thomas Newman assigned me then as a 1st LT to my first staff position as the S-4 of the 4th JAG MLC. He always was a wonderful person to work for and always interested in the younger officers. I am sorry that I could not attend his wake or funeral. He as well as you are in my prayers.

Tom and family, it is with sorrow that I learn of the death of your father. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Tom was the most endearing person that I've known in my lifetime.

We were all touched by his genuine kindness and generosity throughout the years.

The Newman Family: I have had the pleasure of knowing Tom for at least 45 years. It was always such a pleasure knowing him whether it was socially or professionially. Tom and Florence were a special couple, and a delight to be around. God Bless You, especially at this time of sorrow.
