Not sure what to say?

Did a little technical work in TK’s home studio a few years ago. Always enjoyed his syndicated shows on our station in Canton. Tom would tell stories as I worked. A few were funny, a few conveyed a life lesson. Good man with a beautiful family.

I'm Steve Cannon and I first met Tom when he started his syndicated program. My station was the first affiliate and Tom and I became instant friends. We both love radio and love everything about it, even when radio doesn't love us back. Tom was always there with great advice and a kind word. He had a plaque made for me to commemorate the beginning of his syndicated radio show. It was such a surprise to receive that and I knew it came from his heart. I will always cherish our friendship. Tom...

My sincere condolences to your family!!! I worked with Tom at WGCL/Cleveland, OH in the 70's. Definitely, a very talented and one of a kind Radio Legend whose positive spirit will inspire many!!!

I'm Bob McLain aka "Bobaloo J. Bobaloo", "Crazy Bob In The Morning", etc. In 1967 I was doing 7pm-12Midnight at WTOB, Winston-Salem, N.C. This 12 year old kid came up to the station and asked if he could answer my telephone request lines on Sunday afternoons. I liked his willingness to do anything to get near a radio station so I said "Sure". Little did I know that would begin a lifelong friendship. "Truckin' Tom Cookin' Kent" went to on become one of the greats of Top40 radio. We ended up...

My name is David Muncy. Tom ( I knew him as Kent ) helped me get a taste of radio broadcasting as a teenager at WAIR in Winston Salem. He was a great guy and we became friends. Surprisingly we got out of touch and I never followed his career. I was so amazed to learn that his journey led him down this path of success. God speed Tom, you've brought joy and entertainment to so many.

My name is Tom Graye. Tom and I had a friendship for many decades. I currently am employed at EWTN in Alabama. He had a deep love and respect for Mother Angelica. He and I were colleagues at WLS in Chicago and I thought that he was one of the most talented air- personalities that I had ever met. I shall miss him.

The North Forsyth High School class of 1973, in Winston-Salem, NC expresses sincere condolences to Tom´s family ... he was a beloved member of our class.

My condolences to Karen, Jackie, Katy and Steve for the loss of Tom. I have know Tom for many decades and for the past 14 years he has felt like a loving brother to me. I will miss him dearly. May GOD be with Tom and all of you forever..

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Carol Chernick
