Not sure what to say?

Nine and I were in the army together. He was always open and accepting of me and we had many a great time together. He often spoke of time post army endeavors he and I could undertake. I didn't appreciate what that meant at the time. Regret fills my heart every time I think of Tom and that is often. To his family, I am sorry I failed him.

Was talking to my own children about my high-school experience and thought to try and look up Tom. Thomas and I went to high-school together we had many shared interests from JROTC to electronics and engineering. One of the memories I have is that of building remote controled robots fighting robot that we both cared too much to ever think about risking it in a fight.
