Not sure what to say?

Tom started his career with Alcoa on June 22, 1970. He came to Cleveland in 1983, and started working with Rudi Milan as the next to be Furnace Engineer for our business. Our BU is one if few, that was blessed with a great Furnace / Combustion Engineer. Tom was an Engineers Engineer. He did not want the fame, or the glory, he just wanted to do his job! As hard as you tried you could never beat Tom into work in the morning. That pick-up truck was in the parking lot every time I pulled in. And...

Dear Cathy and family, I was so sorry to hear about your loss. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Peace be with you.

You will always live in our hearts and prayers.

Dear Cathy and Tom's entire family,
I am so sorry for your loss and the heartbreak you are going through. Tom and all of you were so wonderful to my dad Smitty when he was alive and to him and my family when he was dying. Tom was a really, really nice guy. My dad really liked him alot and would always say, "Oh yea, Tom is a good man, a good man. Yea, Cathy has a good husband." I would have liked to have known Tom better and I know he is going to be deeply missed. If you need anything...

Tom has touched my life in many ways as a engineer. I have know him for over 25 years. I will truly miss him and his dedication to helping others succeed. May God continue to bless his family.

Tom was a wonderful neighbor whose presence was a present to anyone that knew him. May his spirit and values live on and continue to grow in Cathy, his children and grandchildren. We will truly miss
him!

To Cathy and Tom's Family.

I am an Electrical Engineer who had the good fortune to know and work with Tom since 1995. Tom was a very special individual and treated people with kindness and consideration. I had not gotten to speak with him much in the last few years, but ran into him around 5-6 weeks ago. Again, he was encouraging and positive with me and always helpful. I am sorry for and share in your loss today!

Tom was an incredibly kind and compassionate soul. I haven't often met a man from his generation who so willingly opened his heart to animal suffering as he did -- embracing a new way of living compassionately. He had such a generous spirit and was one of those few people who never hesitated to jump in to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. The world needs more people in it like him. He was taken much too soon and will be missed by many...
