Not sure what to say?

I was saddened to read of Tom's passing, he was a person I was blessed to have known. While I have lived in Florida for the past 25 years, I only had one contact with him and that was at the Hanover Park Hall of Fame dinner about 10 years ago. It was wonderful to have seen him and it was like no time had passed since our last meeting, as we seemed to pick up from the time before that when we were together. Tom was a wonderful person and will be missed by many. God bless you Tom.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Coach and his entire family. Coach O´Brien was one of the most influential figures in my life and the reason I chose a career in education. He was not only a great coach, but also a mentor and a dear friend. It was an honor to run for him and later, to coach alongside him. I will carry his life lessons and memories with me forever. Rest in Peace, Coach.

Coach, I am so blessed to have you as a teacher and a coach. Your passion for both will be forever etched in my mind. Thank you for all the joy you gave to all of us. We love you. Karen Sanchelli Johns

Mr. O'Brien was an incredible cross country coach. He motivated while always remaining calm. His stories will live on forever, from where they got the name Gatorade to the fight that broke out decades earlier during a pivotal race at Warinaco Park...."and nobody said a word!" Thank you coach for all the memories and always making us stronger
