RIP

Nancy, sorry to hear of toms passing. Just found out today, 1/11/2017. your cousin from rensselaer, Jerry O'Neil

I only just learned today of Tom's death. My deepest sympathies to Pat, Christine and all his family.

TJ was such a special man. He was my accounting professor, my advisor, and a shoulder to lean on during difficult times during my years at AIC. And after college, TJ was my cherished friend. Our annual exchanges of Christmas and birthday cards, our annual summer lunches, and the occasional phone call all meant so much to me as the years went by.

The world truly lost a special...

My deepest sympathy goes out to Tom's family. I feel fortunate to have known him and to call him a friend. He took me under his wing when I worked at AIC in the development office - great insights! I am also indebted to him for the care he took with my mom at Sampson's funeral home-he was an artist too!

It was my privilege to officiate basketball with Tom since our first meeting in 1973. Tom officiated both basketball and football quite simply in that he absolutely loved both activities and is rightfully proud of the mark his involvement and legacy was left on both athletic activities. Those of us that came to know him best, reverently referred to him as the "Monarch" of basketball referees: a title that never fit another individual. Right now I am sure Tom is lacing up his shoes and...

Tom was always there for whatever the question would be, he would see a job through from beginning to end with a smile. He will be missed.

Professor O'Neil was more than my accounting teacher at AIC from 1980-1984. He mentored me with the success I was having at the time as a starting soccer player playing all 4 years and the pressures that come with working, studying and long trips on the team bus to play our away soccer games. He cancelled class one Monday and arranged an on campus memorial service for one of our close classmates that was killed in an awful car crash over one weekend during the fall semester in our sophomore...

Dear Pat and Family,
We are thinking of you at this time of sorrow. We wish we were there to celebrate Tom's life and to support you!

My heart and prayers to the family!! He was one of the greatest men I have ever met! Kind, caring, thoughtful, and always looking out for the underdog. I will never forget him!
Fondly, Elisabeth Giansanti Peterson
