Dear Jane and family, I had the great privilege and honor of working for Tom as his Deputy Director at DOJ. During that tenure, and my 27 years in law enforcement, Tom was one of the finest people I've had the fortune of working for. Tom was a great leader and one of the most gentle and kind souls I've ever known. He will always be an inspiration to me and many others whose lives he deeply touched.
