Not sure what to say?

Mr. Oves was our Gym teacher at WHS; he was tough and proficient with a booming voice. He always encouraged us to be better, and reading about his life has shown me why. His hard work and commitment to excellence seems to have been his trademark for all of his life, and what a fine life it was. Thank you Mr. Oves for caring enough to be tough on us; we didn't always appreciate it at the time, but now your motives are crystal clear. Rest in Peace.

Tommy was larger than life, the first true hero we knew, when we were little boys on the beach in Ocean City.

I only saw my Uncle Tom a few times during our adult years, but I remember how proud he was of his family; what a dedicated husband and father he was and how much passion he had for his life, Ocean City and his Oves Restaurant. In our hearts and minds for always.

So sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to Chris and family. I always enjoyed stopping and talking to Tom on the Boardwalk. He and Danny were often together riding their bikes. A true gentleman; good guy. Will be missed by many.

Tom was a real friend to us and especially to Rose. A true legend. Please know that you are in our prayers.

We are so happy that we were able to celebrate Mom's 97th birthday with Uncle Tom at the Famous Oves Restaurant. That is a memory that will remain in our hearts and minds forever. That picture of our 87 year old Uncle riding his bike back home will never be forgotten.

Tom was a great man. We spoke with him often at the restaurant and this fall at his home. He had a wealth of knowledge and was always friendly. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Oves Family.

My sincere condolences to Anne and family. I am so deeply saddened to hear of Tom´s passing. Ocean City has lost a truly great man and an icon, who will be missed by so many. My heartfelt sympathy and blessings to the entire Oves family.
