Many times someone will say "he was my best friend". To me "best" can mean only one. Tommy was my best friend. I cannot help looking around Saugatuck and seeing the sights of our growing up together without smiling. How can anyone think of Tommy without smiling?

Every August 5th (his birthday) I think of Tommy and all the birthdays we shared. I can remember every crazy situation he talked me into for which I was usually blamed. It was impossible to blame Tommy - an angelic round face...
