Mr. Thomas Jefferson Pittman, 77, of Drexel, passed away on Monday November 15, 2021 after a period of declining health. Mr. Pittman was born May 14, 1944 in Mitchell County a son of the late George and Ethel Buchanan Pittman. He served in the US Army National Guard and was a retired truck driver. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers. B.F. Pittman, Jack Pittman, Bruce Pittman, five sisters, Opal Buchanan, Marie Phillips, Alice Greene, Joyce Evans, and Virginia Canipe. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Hollar Pittman, son, Keith Pittman wife Karen of Valdese, daughter, Lisa Dula companion, Johnny of Hickory, brothers, Clinton (Linda) Pittman, Keith (Marilyn) Pittman both of Connelly Springs and a sister Sandra Pittman of Casar, best friends, George and Jill Talmon, special niece, Pam Greene and special sister-in-Law, Jean Hunsucker. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Tyler Pittman (Heather), Trevor Smith (Angel), J.T. Dula (Kayla), Kaleb Pittman (Samantha), Katherine Pittman (Chad Stewart), Karoline Pittman (Kirk Jones), Kristian Pittman (Dayna Mikeal), and Kristine Pittman (Jonah Severt), and Six Great-Grandchildren. Funeral Services for Thomas Pittman will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday November 18, 2021 in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, Valdese, with Rev. Jerry Rogers officiating. Interment with Military Honors by the National Guard will follow in the Burke Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:00 P.M. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to Amorem (Burke Hospice) 1721 Enon Rd., Valdese, NC 28690.
