Group of 10 Memorial Trees

I just read the news in the Andover Bulletin, and my belated condolences to Helen and all his children. Tom was a prince among men. A champion rower, who embodied all the best in the sport. A man of great integrity and of great spiritual depth, who stood for the meaningful and transcendent in living and who bore his long illness with grace and dignity. The last time I saw Tom and Helen was on a flight back from Las Vegas. It was the only time in my adult life that I had been there and knew it...

I was so stunned to hear of the news of Tom's passing and send my condolences to his family. I never met with Tom but I connected with him virtually after reading his wonderful book, The Rising. I was inspired to help Tom turn the book into a movie, so we worked together a few years ago as he turned the book into a treatment for a film script with the help of his co-author. I worked to circulate the treatment to producers and movie stars, but unfortunately, nothing came of it. I still think...

I'm so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. Although I hadn't seen or been in touch with him for many years, I remember him as a great person to work for when I was his legal secretary back around 1970. I remember meeting Helen and little Tom who once drew a picture of me. My condolences to you two and all the rest of his family and friends. I'll never forget him.

Condolences to Tom's family from another Andover friend who fondly remembers his ramrod, towering figure charging down our chapel aisles with such purpose that no doubt continued throughout his life.

We will miss Tom -his great courage in fighting his disease and his up lifting spirit in our interactions, a man who reached out to me to extend his friendship when I could row and he could not. I trust that he is now free fly.

My deepest condolences to Helen, Heidi, and Tom IV and all the family on the passing of Tom. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Tom was indeed a blessing to all who knew him. A man who shared his love, wisdom and wit so freely, all which were in abundance.
Tom touched me very much. I will miss him.
Love,
Oonagh
