I was one of his many students at TJH. He was always someone everyone wanted to be around. I miss running into him in town. I am truly sorry I wasn’t informed soon to show my respects to such a great man. Rest In Peace.

I remember how his beautiful wife, Loretta, would smile everytime he walked into Guaranty Bank. This was before I was in Junior High or knew him as Coach Powell...I knew him first as Loretta's cool husband in the awesome truck. They were an inspirational couple. Great Tomball Memories.

Coach Powell was a great man. I remember his smile and his laugh. He'd always ask me," Walker what are you doing?" Always in a good mood. He'll be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. God rest his soul and reunite him with Loretta...

It was so shocking to hear of the passing of someone as vital and active as Thomas. He was always so full of joy living his life knowing he was a child of god and would see his precious Family again someday. It just came faster than any of us ever anticipated. My thoughts and prayers are with this wonderful family! RIP Thomas!

Coach Powell as I knew him was a great teacher, coach and friend. He was my 8th grade Earth Science teacher in 1980. He will be missed dearly. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.
