Rev. Thomas J. Powers, age 74, son of the late Thomas and Anne (nee Vranesic); brother of Richard; uncle of Rebecca Dinnen (Dave), Rachel Bilczo (Keith) and Thomas Powers (Emily) and several grandnephews. Fr. Thomas was a retired Catholic priest, U.S. Army veteran and a teacher and administrator at several universities and high schools in the Midwest. Services will be private. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.

I used to meet Tom and Richard at Applebees on Veterans day for the last 5 years. I sat there tonight waiting and was so upset that he and Richard did not come. I came home and called his phone number to find out is it disconnected. I am so sad at finding he is deceased. I work for Department of Defense and Tom and Richard have been my buddies for several years. I am very sad that tonight I discovered he is deceased.
