Thomas Franklin Pyles, 64, of Pearisburg, passed away on July 2, 2011. Tom was born April 19, 1947 and was the son of Richard G. St.Clair and Thelma (Pyles) St.Clair, of Pearisburg. Tom was a retired painter from Local 891 out of Roanoke. He enjoyed painting and continued to help friends and family paint even after retirement. Tom loved the outdoors and working in his yard. He loved visiting with family and friends and never knew a stranger. Tom is survived by sister, Wanda (Cookie) Williams with husband, Barry; sister, Shirley Goad with husband (and Tom's best friend), Jack; sister, Brenda Lowery with husband, Gary; sister, Sue McManama with husband, Kenny; and brother, Donald St. Clair. He is further survived by 14 nieces and nephews; 22 great-nieces and nephews; a special cousin and friend, Anita Simpkins; other cousins; a special aunt; and numerous friends. In addition to his parents, his brother, Larry St. Clair, preceded him in death. Family and friends are welcome to the viewing held at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at Ingram Village Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 6, 2011at 2 p.m. followed by burial at Angels Rest Cemetery.
