I was a friend of Tom's back in the early 20's. On a whim, I thought he would be on Facebook. I found this. I am so completely blown away...three years after the fact. To Andy, your dad and I talked for hours about you and my sons and about being single parents. He loved you more than words would ever encompass. I am at one of the greatest losses for words I have ever been. I am so, so so sorry and sad.

I haven't seen Tom since high school, but I remember a lot of laughing together. My deepest sympathies to Tom's family.

I am so very sad to hear of Tom's passing. He was great to work with during the Blades & Explorer days. Better than that, he was a friend sharing Andy stories, KC updates and his positive outlook on all of life's challenges. My prayers are with you.

I had the pleasure of knowing Tom when he and Nancy stayed with us kids (20 years ago!) while my parents were away. Tom had a terrific sense of humor (thank goodness) and helped keep everyone's sanity. We were so fortunate for his compassion and to have known Tom. Andy we are sorry for your father's loss at both your young ages. And Nancy, thank you for showing how family and your friendship with Tom especially are important for a lifetime.
My love and sympathy,
Megan...

Though I probably have not seen Tommy since we were about 20, he and his parents were family friends and I am saddened by his death.

Andy and Kat,
I have known Tom since we were neighbors and shared a fence growing up. I remember lots of afternoons by the pool...I was the young girl tagging along with my mom for a visit! Tom was always so warm and genuinely interested in what I was doing. As we grew up and age didn't make as much difference, Tom's friendship continued. Amazing we ended up supporting the same teams our kids played on! He was always enthusiastic and supportive and just a fun guy to be around! I...

Tom was a warm and caring man who always seemed to have a smile on his face. When he was GM of the Explorers in the early years, I produced radio and TV commercials for them as well as broadcast some of the matches. He never seemed to lose his cool over anything and loved what he was doing. He will be missed.

Tom was the picture of graciousness. It didn't matter where he saw me, at the grocery store, a party, sporting event or fundraiser. He would make a bee-line to make sure he said hello and catch up on "me". We can all learn from Tom on how to treat one another. He truly cared about each and every one of us and he made sure you knew it. Thanks, Tom. I'll see you on the other side, friend.
