Thomas F. Ruggiero

Thomas F. Ruggiero Thomas Francis Ruggiero, age 60, of Bear, DE, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2013. Born in Wilmington, DE, on June 4, 1953, he was the son of Joseph, Sr., and Mary Louise Ackerman Ruggiero, Wilmington, DE. Mr. Ruggiero was employed as a system programmer at the University of Delaware, Newark, DE. He was a member of Frog Hollow Men's Golf League, St. Anthony's Club, Delaware Semi-Pro Baseball League and Back Creek Men's Golf League. He was an active volunteer for the Little Sisters of the Poor. Mr. Ruggiero loved spending time with his family and friends, going to the beach in Ocean City, MD, and golfing with friends. In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife of 33 years, Christine Justison Ruggiero; son, Luke T. Ruggiero, Bear, DE; brother, Joseph Ruggiero, Jr. (Tina), Wilmington, DE; mother-in-law, Eleanor Justison, Newark, DE; brothers-in-law, John Justison, Jr. (Mary), New Castle, DE, Raymond Justison, Bear, DE, Vincent Justison (Cheryl), Pike Creek, DE, Fred Justison (Sabrina), Newark, DE, Jimmy Justison and Frank Almeida, both of Orlando, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his beloved Jack Russell, Maggie. Mr. Ruggiero was preceded in death by his daughter, Chelsea Ann Ruggiero. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon, Thursday, June 13, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 809 South Broom St., Wilmington, DE, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Private interment will be in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, in care of Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921.
