Please accept my deepest sympathies.
1SGT Rutherford was someone whom greatly influenced my early life, when he started the ROTC program at Shaw High School in 1969. Those of us that he worked with in that program then and over the years became confident men and women, thanks in no small part to his calm influence and wisdom. Thanks, Sarge, we'll miss you!

Maria & Thomas, Please accept our heart felt condolences for your loss. Uncle Tom was a wonderful man and this world has lost a great person. His service to the nation is greatly appreciated. I known he was a positive influence on all those JROTC Cadets he mentored over the years. Hopefully He, Dad, Uncle Ed, Uncle Arthur, and Plummer are having a good reunion right now up in heaven. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
