SANDERSON, Thomas Gatewood, 58, of Ashland, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010. He was survived by his loving and devoted wife, Edna Carolyn Sanderson; four children, Melissa Foote (Mike), David Sanderson (Michelle), Jocelyn Mahone (Bobby) and Marie Lunze (Matthew); nine grandchildren, Haley, Paul, Emory, Lydia, Ethan, Hayes, Harmony, Shawn and Jude; mother, Mildred Sanderson; one brother, Ronnie Sanderson; and other family and friends. He was a faithful witness of Jehovah and devoted husband, daddy, and granddaddy. A special thanks for his daughter, Jocelyn; and son-in-law, Bobby, for their being so helpfully devoted in everything they did. The funeral services will be held Sunday, March 21, 2010 at 4 p.m. at the Ashland Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 14048 Greenwood Church Rd., Ashland, Va. 23005. Arrangements by Angelus Funeral and Cremation Traditions.

Dear Carolyn & Family: I'm so glad I was able to spend some time with Tom during his illness. He was a kind and gentle man, easy to talk with and just a nice guy. We are all looking forward to seeing him again in paradise. J. P. Jones (Henrico).
