Tom passed away peacefully on July 1st, 2025, in the house he built with his family around him. Tom was born June 22, 1934 in Marshall, Missouri. He was the 7TH of 9 children born to William & Clella Lucille Schieberl. In 1941 his father moved the family to Richmond to take a job at Mare Island. After graduating from Santa Rosa High, Tom became a journeyman carpenter and worked in the cabinet business most of his adult life. He was well respected in the construction community in Sonoma County. He was a quiet man who was able to get his point across without losing his temper. He was a hard worker, who retired early yet helped his children and friends with enough projects that kept him busy up into his early 80’s.
In his spare time he was an avid snow skier and golfer. He wasn’t a long ball hitter, but was straight, steady and consistent, truly enjoying the game. A hole in one at Bennett Valley Golf Course proves this. A diehard fan of both the Giants and the 49ers (a long time 49er season ticket holder) he cheered them on, even in the bad years.
He was a true family man, really involved in his children’s lives. He was most proud that all four of his sons became Eagle Scouts. At innumerous Troop 134 pancake breakfasts and family reunions he would be found manning a griddle. He attended as many of his grandkids events as he could.
After Elvia, his wife of 48 years passed suddenly, he reconnected with and married his high school sweetheart. He and Delores spent 20 years together until his passing.
He celebrated his 91st birthday with his children and several grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, his siblings, and his first wife, Elvia Dina (Giannini) Schieberl.
He is survived by his second wife Delores (Hartsell) Schieberl, his children Thomas J. Schieberl (Brigette), Carrie Forrest (Chuck), Daniel Schieberl, Richard Schieberl (Lisa), Dr. James Schieberl, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 37 nieces and nephews.
Per his request there will be no service, however there will be a celebration of life in the future.
