Not sure what to say?

Thomas was a special person. Thomas will be missed always. My condolences to the family.

My first memory of Tom was watching him playing football at Euclid stadium. I would jump the fence to watch the Vikings play. He was the first football player that stood out with his speed and grace! I knew I was watching one of the greatest high school football players Cleveland ever had! I met him personally as a coach in Wickliffe and we did business with his Olympic Sporting goods store. We became friends and enjoyed Tom and Mary on boat rides going downtown! My wife Alison still has a...

Coach Schoen will surely be missed by many, but just as many will continue to be blessed by the impact he continues to have on their lives. No one was more responsible for the resurgence of Viking football after the school merger than Tom Schoen. It wasn´t just his coaching acumen that turned the program around, though, it was his work ethic, passion, and pride in the school, community, and himself. That pride rubbed off on his players and, following his lead, we began to raise our...

There were many good athletes in our neighborhood. Tommy was the great one. I´m 5 years younger than Tommy and grew up 5 doors from the Schoen home. From the time I could hold a ball, Tommy and Norm taught me what to do with it. We played every day and always with a ball. "Play" it wasn´t. Everything was competitive; played hard. Every year another good athlete or two from a little farther away would be drawn to us to compete with Tommy. The competition improved us all. The Schoen home...

Mary, I am so sorry for your loss. I never met Tom but I remember you telling wonderful stories about him. God bless you and your family at this time. Julie

I knew Tom in several ways...as an outstanding football player for St .Joe's, Notre Dame and the Cleveland Browns... as Olympics Sporting Goods store owner. I purchased uniforms and equipment from him when I coached the St. Louis Lancers CYO football team...he was helpful in my selections...as a tavern owner...really enjoyed our convo and the beer!
As a friend...he was fun, loyal and smart! He will be missed by so many!
My deepest sympathies to his entire family.

Aunt Mary and Family, Our deepest condolences on the loss of our hero, legend and mentor. We were so lucky to be related to this wonderful man who gave us so much laughter, charm, and Love! We will miss him dearly but know in our hearts that he is watching over us from heaven above. With All of Our Love, The O´Connell Family
