Mr. Thomas "Shawee" "Gus" Earl Scott, Sr., age 68 was born on March 23, 1955, in Waterproof, LA. departed this earthly home on Friday, January 12, 2024. Thomas grew up in New Orleans, LA and was a Landscaper for many years. He played semi-pro football and loved the New Orleans Saints and cooking. He was a member of the Chicken Wing Social & Pleasure Club, The Hard Hitters Social & Pleasure Club, One Love Social & Pleasure Club, The Popup Boyz Social & Pleasure Club, The Mighty 14 Social & Pleasure Club, and he was the King of the Pigeon town steppers men & lady’s. Thomas was a patron and enjoyed going to Snake & Jake, Leroy’s, Diva’s Lounge, Sister Sister, Big Head, and many more. Thomas was the loving father of Thomas Earl Scott Jr., Toi Earl Scott and Chelsea Scott. Beloved brother of Betty Scott, Doris Wiley Phoenix, Vera Wiley, Matilda Scott Frazier, Florence Scott, Charlene Watson, Gidget Watson, Edward Wiley, and Charles Watson. Also survived by 4 grandchildren Taleah, Savannah, Kailey, Kaleb Scott and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Will Wiley, Sr. and Mary Scott Watson; and his siblings Lola Pearl Scott, Helen Wiley, Mary Ann Wiley, Sara Scott, Will Wiley, Jr., Perry Wiley, Sr., and Robert Lee Wiley. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life Service on Friday, January 26, 2024, at Gertrude Geddes Willis Funeral Home, 2120 Jackson Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70113 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Interment Providence Memorial Cemetery, 8200 Airline Drive, New Orleans, LA 70003. To the family Thomas "Gut" Scott, it is with sorrow that I have heard of the passing of Cuz Thomas, we had the best of times in the uptown area, growing up, he and Lee, and others, really were true family,, regrettably I'm not able to make the service today, but we are praying much for the entire Scott, Watson, Moton and others family members, keep your hands in the hand of the master,,, look up and live, and let the memories of Thomas live on in your heart , your family from up in North...
