New London, NH-Thomas C. Scully, Jr., 74, of Carter Road, died
Sunday, July 1, 2012 at his home.

He was born in West New York,
NJ on July 30, 1937 the son of Thomas C. and Irene (Schmalz) Scully, Sr.
He graduated from Trinity High School in Brooklyn, NY and St. John's University in Jamaica, NY. Mr. Scully worked for the New York City
Police
Department for 40 years retiring in 1999 as Lieutenant. In his career
he served as
a Commander in the elite Street Crime and Emergency Service Units.

He moved to
New London 13 years ago previously residing in Franklin Square, NY for
34 years.
Mr. Scully served in the US Army at Fort Dix. He was a communicant of
Our
Lady of Fatima Parish in New London and was a member of the Men's
Club. He was also a member of the Country Squires.

He was predeceased by his sister, Maureen Arcoleo. Members of his
family surviving include his wife of 47 years, Caroline (Barina) Scully
of
New London; three sons and their wives, Thomas and Loriann Scully of
Wilmot, NH, James and Maria Scully of Westbury, NY and Stephen and
Jessica Scully of Long Beach, NY; three grandchildren, Brianna, Thomas
and Nicky; along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Chadwick Funeral Home, 235 Main Street,
New London, NH on Friday, July 6, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. A mass of
Christian
Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 7, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Our
Lady of Fatima, 724 Main Street, New London, NH. Burial will be in
Elkins
Cemetery, Elkins, NH.

Terribly sorry for your loss. He was a true "gentle man." Very respected colleague both on the job and the LBA board. His passing a painful loss to everyone who knew him.
