Not sure what to say?

Tom and I were good friends throughout college and for much of our teaching career. Tom was genuine. He had a contagious laugh, even eye contact was often enough. I remember one time laughing so hard in Mr Wick’s math class I had to leave the room. He brought kindness and good will to both colleagues and students; it was just who he was. He was never too busy to stop for a chat or share a funny story. His heart was always in Florida, even when teaching in the north. Rest now, Tom, where...

Tom and I were good friends throughout college and for much of our teaching career. He brought laughter and kindness to his colleagues and students; it was just who he was. Though he spent time teaching in the middle states, his heart was always in Florida. His warmth and spirit will be missed. Rest in peace, Tom.

I was saddened to hear this morning that Tom had passed. He was a year ahead of me in college, and started teaching for a full year before me. When I began steaching at the same school as he did, he always offered his help and suggestions. He got along with everyone, and was thought of fondly by all. He will be missed.

I replaced Tom when he left the social studies department at Marist High School, Bayonne, NJ, in 1982. I fondly remember him showing me around the place and taking me to my new classroom. A great guy, a gentleman. May Tom rest in peace.

I had the honor of spending two years with Tommy in Esopus, NY, back in the late 1960's. He was one of the nicest people in our class: always pleasant, gracious and friendly. We lost touch for a while but reconnected one summer at Camp Marist in New Hampshire. I am saddened to learn of his passing and I will keep him both in my prayers and in my memory.
